Editorial Guidelines

Hype Hermit publishes tattoo ideas and men’s hairstyle guides. These guidelines explain how we choose topics, how articles are written and edited, and what you can expect from every page on this site. Last updated: October 2026.

What we cover

We focus on two subjects and try to cover them properly: tattoo ideas for men, organised by placement and style, and men’s haircuts and hairstyles, organised by cut, hair type and face shape. We don’t publish medical, financial or legal advice.

Who writes for us

Every article has a named writer with a clear beat, shown in the byline and in the author box at the end of each post. You can read about each of them on our About page. Ehtisham Haider, our founder and editor, reviews every article before it goes live.

How an article is made

  • Topic selection. We pick ideas readers are genuinely searching for and that we can add something useful to, not just repeat.
  • Research. For tattoos we look at placement, scale, style history, symbolism and how designs typically age. For hairstyles we look at hair type, face shape, maintenance and how to brief a barber.
  • Writing. Each idea in a list is described in our own words, with practical notes on who it suits and what to consider before committing.
  • Editing. An editor checks every article for accuracy, clarity, spelling and usefulness before publication.
  • Updating. We revisit older articles, refresh ideas that have dated, and fix anything that’s no longer accurate.

Images

Images on Hype Hermit are used to illustrate design ideas. Where an image is a concept illustration rather than a photo of a real tattoo or haircut, we aim to make that clear. If you own an image and want it credited or removed, please contact us.

Use of AI tools

We sometimes use AI tools to help with research, outlines and image concepts. A person on our team writes, edits and is responsible for everything that’s published, and nothing goes live without human review.

Tattoo and hair safety

Our ideas are for inspiration. Always work with a licensed, reputable tattoo artist or barber, discuss any skin or scalp concerns with them first, and follow their aftercare advice. Pain, healing time and results vary from person to person.

Advertising and independence

Hype Hermit is supported by display advertising and may use affiliate links. Advertisers have no say in what we write. Any sponsored content or paid partnership will be clearly labelled as such.

Corrections and feedback

If you spot an error, an outdated idea or an image that needs credit, tell us through our contact page. We review every report and correct mistakes promptly.
